Is there a disk limit with 2.6.34-ARCH?

I have an array that won't come online.  It stopped working when I added a new controller and different disk array.

The malfunctioning array is 4 disks.  I can get any two of them to show up as drives but the other two will not.

Is there a drive limit?  I have 16 physical drives and can only get 14 of them to come online.

I don't think 16 physical drives should be a problem... If it was then a lot of Linux servers would be in big trouble smile. According to this the 2.6 kernel supports 'thousands' of disks, so I don't really think a drive limit is causing your problem smile. If your array is degraded, it will never come online with all disks in it, that's why it's degraded after all wink.
