I'm having problems to enable the sound on my home destop pc.
I've got two sound cards one onboard and one I bought later.
Alsa is installed and everything is unmuted but it still dosen't work. What can I do to solve the problem?

just to be sure, have you tried all of the Troubleshooting tips in the wiki?
I would say start there, see what you can find out. If none of them help then at least you should be able to provide the community with more information so that we can better assist you.
This could honestly be a number of problems, the modules might not be loading properly, there might be a conflict between the soundcards etc.

It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's Law.

1) What sound card do you have?
2) Which modules do you have loaded for that card? (If applicable)
3) Have you configured ALSA to use the card you want it to use?
I mean, other than that, you could use our Emergency evacuation plan.

After I blacklisted the onboard sound card in the modules section my second sound card started to work.
But still in Ubuntu and in Windows I was ebale to use both sound cards and I never had any problems...
Is it possible to get both sound cards to work?

What exactly do you want to do?
Choose one soundcard on the fly to output sound or output on both soundcards at the same time?
Then you probably need pulseaudio.
Just set one soundcard as default?
Then you can use asoundconf from AUR. "asoundconf list" gives you a list of your soundcards which you can set as default with "asoundconf set-default-card NAME". It just autoedits .asoundrc und .asoundrc.asoundconf in ~.
Applications that have options for setting of audio devices will still be able to use the other one.
