I'm having some troubles with the laptop-mode-tools.
When I set
enable_auto_modules=1
in laptop-mode.conf, my hw-clock starts running like a rabbit. The clock is racing forward around 10 minutes per hour...
anyone experiencing the same behavior?
I'm running archlinux on a Asus 1201N.

I set ENABLE_AUTO_MODULES=1, but did not have the same problem. Is it better to use NTPD to synchronize local clock?

It's probably asus related. Will test some more and report back later.
When those laptop-mode-modules are enabled, it seems ntpd is unable to adjust the time.
Will test some more and report back.

After a bit of googling I had to add
notsc no_timer_check
to my kernel options.
Clock speed is normal now.
