ASUS G1S-B2 microphone not working

Just installed Arch on an Asus G1S-B2. Audio output works fine to both headphones and internal speakers. Webcam appears to work fine as well.

However, I am unable to get any audio input to work. I've tried both the internal mic (top of monitor) and external inputs.

I've tried adding a few things into /etc/modprobe.d/sound.conf as per instructions elsewhere, but to no avail:

options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1
options snd-hda-intel model=asus-laptop

I've also tried various other models. Everything is cranked up and turned on in alsamixer, including capture.

Any help?
