[solved] vlc with upnp support?

Hi,

I read in a forum that vlc supports dlna and upnp as long as it is built with the relative option enabled. So, I rebuilt vlc with abs adding the --enable-upnp option in the configuration file. The application built succesfully but still I don't see the relative option in the GUI.

Does anyone have any clue what's wrong?

Thanks.

usually when you enable some option you will need additional dependencies. add  libupnp to dependencies, append that option and makepkg

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Thanks for your reply. I had already added the dependency but still there is no relative option.

Indeed, using --enable-upnp in the configure part in the PKGBUILD and adding libupnp as a dependency adds DLNA support to vlc :-). The media servers appear in the playlist (Media Browser > Local Network > Universal Plug n' Play).
