PPC: image scanning(SOLVED)

I might miss something, but there seems to be no image-scanning software (skanlite,xscanimage,gnome-scan,xsane) for PPC-Arch ! Is someone working on it?

Addendum: found sane-frontends but it does not work on my Epson Stylus Photo PX700W:when using xscanimage it sees the printer on the network, lits every light on it and gives error: "error during read: error during device I/O"
On Arch/intel 32 and 64 bit it works flawlessly.
Could the drivers be out of date?
