I recently bought a Gateway ID49C07u and installed arch without any trouble (well the wireless is still iffy but you can't win them all)
However the screen's backlight is burning my eyes out.
I have tried xbacklight and while the numbers change as I change them, the screen doesn't.
Example: xbacklight -set 40
xbacklight -get returns 40 but the screen doesn't change.
I've tried changing the values in /sys/class/backlight/acpi_video0/brightness and nothing changes.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also lspci shows that the video card is
