How to make Nautilus columns fixed size?

The "Name" column always fits name length (the longest). I want it to be fixed size.

A quick test seems to reveal that it isn't possible to avoid this behavior, but I'm not certain. Try asking the Nautilus community, as this is a fairly specific question.
