Hello. My fonts are acting strange. Some look like they've been cut in half, and sometimes it's just the bottom. It's happening as I type this. I can post a screenshot to show you what I mean.

Note the "f" in fonts, and the "f in half.
It happens with other letters too. I'm just not sure why it's happening.

My fonts are looking like they've been sliced up. It's really annoying. Does someone have this problem? I made a topic about this last week, no answer, and on this forum, I can't bump topics.

Edit: OK, the threads got merged, now I get it. For a while I though you don't see the pics in the first post :-)

Threads merged.
dragos240, don't start several threads for the same issue. It's okay to bump your own thread after (at least) 24 hours.

What is your WM/DE, and which fontconfig are you using?

Thanks. Last time I bumped my topic I got reprimanded. I am using LXDE. I'm not exactly sure what fontconfig I'm using.

I get the same thing on my system (openbox wm and fontconfig 2.8.0-1)
in the screenshot it is only happening on colour highlighted text in a terminal, but it does happen in other programmes too, most noticeably in chromium, but not today.
It's been happening for quite a while now for me ~2 months or so.

Good thing I'm not the only one!
Oh, font config is a program. Well, I have the latest. yaourt -Q fontconfg shows:
extra/fontconfig 2.8.0-1

Both of you seem to have strong hinting/auto-hinting enabled in your fontconfig, you could start by trying to reduce that. How to information is on the wiki page: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Font_Configuration
