This morning, I performed a system update and KDE as well as a few other packages had been updated. However, my computer locked up after pacman had finished and I had to reboot. After rebooting, I seen several errors regarding KDE.
I have solved some of the permission errors that have been found in my logs but I am still unable to solve this one problem revolving around kdm_greet or some process that calls kdm_greet.
Aug 28 2:28:57 localhost kdm_greet[1776]: Cannot create $HOME
Aug 28 2:28:57 localhost kdm: :0[1775]: Received unknown or unexpected command -2 from greeter
Aug 28 2:28:57 localhost kdm: :0[1775]: Abnormal termination of greeter for display :0, code 1, signal 0
I'm stumped. Help please?
Ps. It was an upgrade from version 4.4.5-2 to 4.5.0-1
I'm not completely sure of what logs I should post here but I'm actively working on the problem and trying to find this solution on my own.... but I'm far from an expert and help is appreciated ![]()

I can get KDE to start under root with startkde, but when I attempt to start kde under my user, i get this error. Perhaps an access error? There should be plenty of space...
Call to lnusertemp failed (temporary directories full?) Check your installation.
