I've just tried to install chromium, but the program doesn't start.
From terminal I recieve this:
[7183:7183:4023157347:FATAL:chrome/browser/browser_main.cc(537)] Check failed: profile. Cannot get default profile.
Abortito
trying as root:
[federico@giunta-desktop ~]$ su
Password:
[root@giunta-desktop federico]# chromium
No protocol specified
(chromium:7209): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: :0
How can I fix this problem?

You can use BBCode in your posts:

Those where the one I already used, but this terrible problem remains, every time I want to start chromium I have to open a terminal, insert various codes, and so on, and doing it every time is orrible.
And there is another thing: this method makes me open the program as root, so that every file I save or download will become protected, and i won't be able to open it unless I am root. and that is really annoying!
Please help me!

Have you tried deleting the ~/.config/chromium/ folder and then starting Chromium?
Also if you're using Chromium from the extra repo, maybe try one from the AUR.

Using xhost+ creates automatically a security problem for Xorg, do NOT do that.

Have you tried the fix here: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Chromium#Problems ?
Also, don't run your browser(s) as root.
