[SOLVED] anthy & uim doesn't work anymore

Yesterday uim got updated to version 1.6.0-1 and now it doesn't
work with anthy anymore. When I go to gtk-toolbar-gtk &
>> Global settings >> Enable Input Methods I'm not even able to
choose anthy anymore. What I did was reinstall anthy but to no avail.
I'm not sure what else I can do about it. My guess is that the most
recent version of uim is not compatible with anthy? Any suggestions?

edit: Down-grade to 1.5.7-1 solved the problem. Thanks @ firekraag.

Similar problem. I also use uim, and even though I can select the input method and type in Japanese, I can't change to kanji/katakana or see any candidates.

Same problem, I had to manually run "uim-module-manager --register anthy" but now I can't convert to kanji.
I tried to completely uninstall anthy (and all its configuration...) but without success, seems to be an uim problem.
Guess I have to downgrade uim, and add it to the 'pkgignore', like I did with cups 1.3.9...

What is the previous version? 1.5.9?
If somebody have the previous package, please upload it or send it to me - I will upload it on my server and throw the link on this thread. To avoid other people getting angry.

OK I found em on a not-yet-synced mirror and it re-works perfectly.

When I noticed this after upgrading, I took the opportunity to follow the instructions on the wiki to install modified-anthy and uim compiled with Anthy-UTF8 enabled so as to be compatible with it.  This worked with uim 1.6.0 and I have both Anthy and Anthy-UTF8 as working input methods.  I don't see anything about Anthy being removed in the release notes on the uim Google Code site, so I'm not certain why this worked when Anthy should be there by default.  While I followed the instructions on the wiki for the G-HAL and SULUMI patches, I would think you could just use a PKGBUILD as follows (adapted from the ABS and the modified-uim PKGBUILDs) and the normal Anthy from the repository (though I haven't actually tested this myself):

Adding uim to IgnorePkg.
