I tried to install the lib32-gstreamer suite, but when I tried to pull lib32-gstreamer0.10-good from AUR it said the file does not exist. I notice the tag says OBSOLETE... is anybody else working on this? Failing that, is there a FAQ on how I can cross-compile the source from Gnome into my own package?

You should use [multilib] repo now
And read the news http://www.archlinux.org/news/508/
EdIt: Wait, what about http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=15583 and http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=29754
Where's that 'obsolete' tag?

I did find the [multilib] article shortly after I wrote that original post, when I searched the forums... fora... whatever for recent comments about lib32. I guess I should make a habit of reading the news here before any upgrades.
As for the "obsolete", that was misreading on my part. I went to AUR and searched for "lib32-gstream*" and got a list of the various packages, and at the bottom there was a color-code legend explaining that items highlighted in pink were "out of date" (not "obsolete"... leave it to me to not even remember the right wording five minutes after I saw it). But that was not saying that the above-listed packages WERE out of date, it was only saying that if they were highlighted in pink (which they were not) that's what it would mean.
Finally, the files for lib32-gstreamer0.10 and lib32-gstreamer0.10-base installed fine. It's when I tried to install -good that it said:
==> PASV ... done. ==> RETR gstreamer0.10-good-0.10.22-1-i686.pkg.tar.xz ...
No such file "gstreamer0.10-good-0.10.22-1-i686.pkg.tar.xz".
==> ERROR: Failure while downloading gstreamer0.10-good-0.10.22-1-i686.pkg.tar.xz
Aborting...
When I try to locate and download that package manually, I can't find it in FTP either.

I can see ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/extra/os/i686/g … pkg.tar.xz - a newer version

Thanks, Karol, but I'm looking for the lib32- flavor of the package. I have the 686 version installed already. I'd be happy to build my own lib32 variant from source if I had the slightest clue how to build 32-bit binaries on my 64-bit platform.
