openoffice won't start

Today when I tried to open openoffice, it shows the icon as if loading then ...nothing.  I tried running soffice from the terminal and received this error

terminate called after throwing an instance of 'com::sun::star::uno::RuntimeException'

Where do I start to repair this?

I always google the error message - looks like there is something on the ubuntu forums about this...

Re: openoffice won't start

I did google the error and found that thread, however I did not have an issue of file ownership or permissions.  Files are still owned by me.

I removed openoffice-base and installed go-openoffice and now it works...hmmm?
