[SOLVED] mounting issues

Hello to everyone! I recently made the move from fedora to arch and I am delighted! The only thing is that I am having issues with my dvdrom and my ntfs hard drives. I know that is a commonly discussed thread but I can't find solution....I am using KDE, hal dbus are installed. Deamons and modules are in rc.conf but I do not see my dvdrw. If I put an entry for it in /etc/fstab then I can't mount ntfs hard drives!!It drives me mad!Any solutions or ideas?

Dvd model Optiarc DVD RW AD7200s
and from rc.conf

Re: [SOLVED] mounting issues

Where don't you see your DVD drive? Does /dev/srX exist? Usually you wont see anything until you put a disk in. How are you trying to mount the ntfs drives?

Re: [SOLVED] mounting issues

I do not see it in device notifier in system tray nor in dolphin.... Ntfs drives are mounted through device notifier...

I think the problem is solved... Udev was upgraded and everything works fine now :-)
