Flash fails to play videos with hangul (korean) strings.

GOMTV just started the first StarCraft 2 GSL, and I've been watching VODs as I'm in North America and don't want to stay up until 7am every night. Thankfully GOM is giving away VODs, all you have to do is register at gomtv.net.

The issue is that some VODs fail to ever start streaming. For example, this one: http://www.gomtv.net/videos/1030/0

I just figured out that the few VODs that refuse to stream are the ones that have Hangul (the written form of Korean) in the title of the match. I do not think this is ArchLinux specific, as Flash on my Ubuntu machine behaves the exact same way. The Location bar in FireFox says "Waiting for 211.43.144.xxx", which is one of GOM's servers, but it never actually loads. I also know it doesn't effect the Windows version of Flash, as my friend watched these videos with no issue.

Anyone else counter this as well?

Re: Flash fails to play videos with hangul (korean) strings.

I've tracked down the file that the GOMTV player grabs, which is possibly what's causing the error. The URL is http://www.gomtv.net/gox/flash_channel. … dseq=10159

I can't think of a simple way to fix this, GreaseMonkey won't affect it since the URL itself is fetched from within Flash, not FireFox.
