motherboard/graphic card hdmi output to HD tv using ati radeon 5770

Hello, im am trying to figure out howto hookup my desktop via HDMI, to my 46 inch samsung tv.

It works perfectly with windows XP but I would like to be able to do this using arch linux, I already have  (video-ati) driver installed.

The motherboard and graphics card is

Mobo =  Asus M4A78T-E has 1 hdmi port,  and 2 vga ports.

My graphics card is an  Ati Radeon 5770 has to HDMI outputs on the card.

I would like to be able to use HDMI using my card, or if only necessary my motherboard, being as I would need the driver for my graphics card that obviously would be best.

I read on the Arch install guide that you could use The RadeonHD driver for it to work, but I wanted to get some opinions or maybe someone who has done this already before I make an drast decisions.

Thank you in advance for all the help Much appreciated.

Thanks
