Hi,
the pm-utils arent working correctly since I reinstalled Arch. I did everything the same manner as before. I installed pm-utils, added my user to the power group and even added the pm-commands to the sudo file so that I don't need a password. It seems to work randomly .. sometimes I am lucky and it works 10 times in a row and other times it doesnt even work once out of 10 trys.
I dont know why it doesnt work and I dont know which infos you need for successfully locating and fixing the problem. So lets start with you telling me, which information you need (it worked without problems before) ![]()

Ok, I found out, that there is an pm-suspend.log, but that file seems just fine after a notworking suspend.

Whoooops, I saw that I never told you that I have a Thinkpad R500, sorry.
Also it seems, that the suspend to RAM only works a few times directly after booting, but not everytime.

I'm having the exact same issue on a T400. Suspend 'usually' works, but often enough doesn't, leaving the computer hanging with a blinking "sleep" light, and a grayed-out (but not off) screen.
I think it may have something to do with a particular open program that is blocking the video suspend, but I have not been able to track it down. The pm-suspend log seems fine, though I don't know the place to start looking.

I didn't find the topic right now but that's a known issue. Switch back to kernel 2.6.34 (works for me), try the 2.6.35 from testing or the RC of 2.6.36.
You also might wanna find the topic, there was a link to a bug report and maybe some other interesting info. I only skimmed through it.
