why is two finger scrolling enabled on old laptop by default?

Hello,

I installed Arch on my old laptop, a Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo A1650G (which is crap btw). Everything works fine.

The touchpad works out of the box too, but instead of being able to scroll by touching the right side of the touchpad, I can scroll using two fingers instead! I don't know why, really. This laptop is a few years old - so no hardware multitouch support I guess - and I did not do any modifications whatsoever.

I'd really appreciate any explanations (wild guesses too, of course)!

regards

I still don't know why this was enabled initially, but I found my way to the configuration. I'm really sorry for not looking to the wiki first (http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Touchpad_Synaptics).
