Problems with Logitech Cordless Mouse

Hello!

I have managed to install Arch Linux with XFCE on my old notebook and really enjoy the experience so far. The only problem I encountered is that my Logitec Cordless Mouse causes a bit of trouble. While it worked out of the box, including  the scroll wheel and the middle button, the cursor is a bit slow and bucking (as if the mouse position only gets updated every half second or so).

Does anyone have an idea what I could do about it?

Maybe I should add that that problem does not exist with the built in trackpad.
