Alsa dmix stops working with SPDIF
I have hooked up my pc to a external receiver using spdif. Playback through the default device (with dmix) works fine until I watch a movie with ac3 passthrough. After that, playing through the default device stops working. I still can playback if I select the spdif device directly, but 'default' maintains broken. I've tried playing with 'iecset audio on' and 'iecset audio off' but those don't have any effect. The only thing that helps is logging out and in, but that's rather annoying. Anyone seen this problem before?
