an option to postit notes and dry erase boards. At my desk i now have two monitors, both filled with postit notes now, and a dry erase board / bulliten board combo with more stuff jotted down.

I had issues with my postits falling off one monitor, so i began toping them with white electrical tape. did you know you can use white electrical tape as a surface for dry erase markers? now my monitor is a little ghetto looking with the electrical tape on it, but it lets me write quick notes without going through the post it trouble

you could also get contact paper, which is clear and you can write on it (my friends frat uses it to write the pong list on the wall...)

i prefer things on the outside of my monitor.... and i have no contact paper

what about training your brain to keep more information better for use? :-) ... this is not an insulting, i just tried to solve your problem the easiest way (the brain of a human being has so much potential ... train it!)
