Skype on 64 bit problem: skype: error while loading shared libraries

I installed skype with "sudo pacman -S skype" from the multilib repo. When I run skype now I get: "skype: error while loading shared libraries: libglib-2.0.so.0: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64". I tried googling but the only answer I found just listed the required libs which doesn't really help me, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Do you have lib32-glib2 installed?

your system is not fully up to date or you need to reinstall lib32-glibc

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

I am now having this same problem. My system is completely up to date, and I have reinstalled lib32-glibc just to be safe. I would be grateful for any help.

Are you sure your system is up-to-date? Use reflector or:

http://www.archlinux.org/mirrorlist/

To get a better mirrorlist then try "sudo pacman -Syyu".
