This happened after I performed an update for pacman, and I assume that it's the latest version of catalyst, but it might not be. I've tried aticonfig --initial, and now, I'm currently using catalyst-test with xorg-server 1.9, which also doesn't work. I've run catalyst_build_module several times, and it doesn't seem to have an effect.
I can't easily copy-and-paste the logs for obvious reasons, but the backtrace showed X, libc, pthreads, and flgrx (plus one or two other modules which belonged to the catalyst-utils/catalyst-test package).
Has anyone else had this same problem? I can't use the open-source package because my chipset isn't supported.

You can boot a liveCD and post the logs to pastebin.
Or boot into console https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 19#p833219

I can get into command-line mode easily. I just press Ctrl-Alt-F2.
However, I didn't know how to submit to pastebin via a command-line. Or the forums, for that matter. I'm using Windows right now.
After a quick google search, I found something that will work; I'll use that and post the logs.

Damn, I forgot to ask if you can Ctrl-Alt-F2 ;P
Still, the liveCD might be easier if you have access to your data and you can use the forums at the same time.

I can use the forums via links, but I still can't copy and paste.
Right now, I randomly turned on my computer and it worked. I don't know if it was an update to kernel26-headers from [testing] or what, but it works now.
