Posting Guidelines (copied from last month, which was copied from the previous month)
DO NOT post full resolution screenshots! You can use the "mogrify" command (pacman -S imagemagick) to make a thumbnail of your screenshot:
$ convert -resize 20% screenie.png thumb-screenie.png
Sizes Twenty percent of the original size is great for 1024x768 screenies. For bigger sizes (and especially for multi-monitor setups), we ask you to keep in mind not everyone uses broadband, and use an even smaller size (10% of a Full HD setup will still be 192x180, for example).
NOTE: Anything with dimensions larger than 250px (be it height or width) or over 50Kb in size will be removed.
You can then upload these images to your server and use the following code to show them on the forum:

* Several websites also offer free image hosting. Here are some that supports thumbnails:
Omploader | ImageShack | xs.to | iPICTURE | ImageHosting | Imagebam | Imgur
Use the "Thumbnail for forums" link code that is supplied by the image hosting sites to post your thumbnail link.
Although, try to avoid imageshack. Its a pain in the you know where.
* Once the new month begins please do not post new screenies in the old threads.
* If the screenshot has questionable material that might not be safe to view while at work or in a school setting, please post only a link and not a thumbnail, along with a mention of "Not Safe for Work". Posts that do not adhere to this are subject to deletion without notice at any time.
* Please try to include any links to your wallpaper or configs that you may have and/or the names of your icon theme, running apps, DE, etc. in the same post to reduce unnecessary clutter later.

Might as well post these again:
-- mod edit: read the rules and only post thumbnails https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=61754 --
As you can see from the file name, my desktop does not change much
Edit: Seriously. They were 256px wide... so you removed them for 6px over the limit. And you could have left the links. Stupid mod...

OK. This images satisfies both being less than 250px wide (128px) and is less 50KB (13KB).... So please explain what rule I am breaking when you remove it....
Edit: Note it could go 20x longer without breaking the rules...

As you would be aware, having taken part in the discussion, the size rule was introduced to provide clarity for the community as to the maximum size of images, to ensure everyone could browse the boards, irrespective of their bandwidth or technology.

So what was wrong with that image? It was within the guidelines... Or are the guidelines wrong and need to be flexible. Say 6px flexible?
Edit: and one again you removed the link as well as the thumbnail destroying any usefulness of the post.
Moderator edit: Don't spoil the topic for everyone else, if you have complaints about the rules, address one of the mods.

I agree with Allan. The mods should be tolerant with the thumbnails, not "oh no, it's 1 px larger than the one defined by the rules. Delete delete deleeete".

Gonna post these again, since they are still fresh from the bake shop.
By the way, isn't the command example in the opening post a little suboptimal? For example, instead of this:
$ cp screenie.png thumb-screenie.png
$ mogrify -resize 20% thumb-screenie.png
we could have this:
$ convert -resize 20% screenie.png thumb-screenie.png
By using Convert instead of Mogrify, both ImageMagick commands, we can eliminate a step (Kiss!).
