Why pygobject depend on gobject-introspection?

gobject-introspection seems to be only need when compile, and only new gnome applications need it.

and i tried to run pygobject-codegen-2.0 without gobject-introspection and ldd /usr/lib/libpyglib-2.0-python.so, all seems no need gobject-introspection.

Re: Why pygobject depend on gobject-introspection?

because it links to:

/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gi/_gi.so -- libgirepository-1.0.so.1
/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/gtk-2.0/gi/_gi_cairo.so -- libgirepository-1.0.so.1

i guess we can move it as optdepends

Sorry, seems gobject-introspection is very needed by pygobject. cuz without it, some application like ccsm won't work..
