Having a bit of trouble binding irssi to dwm. When I try to compile and build it gives me an error:

What am I doing wrong here? Do I need to install a script or something?

As the error says, line 24 - irssi needs to be declared/quoted: "irssi"

I was JUST about to edit my OP and say that I figured that out, haha. I have a habit of making threads and then solving my own problem like a minute later. I have a new problem, though. The keybind works fine, but when I try to close the client, irssi says "irssi: Reloaded configuration." I couldn't close it unless I quit out of dwm. Any ideas?
EDIT: it also doesn't open up in the tag that I specified. HALP.

How are you "trying to close the client"?
I just /quit and it closes cleanly...

My keyboard bind. I tried changing the bind to mod+shift+o but it still did the same thing...

You don't close the application by using the keybind that you have set up to start it (if I understood you correctly).

Haha, you didn't. By keyboard bind I meant my killclient keyboard bind, not the one I had binded to irssi.

If irssi closes with /quit, I would stick with that... No idea as to why it is respawning unbidden - unless you have something in your .irssi/config.
Do you get the same behaviour with other apps in xterm?

What? It's not respawning. When I try to close it with my killclient keybind, it doesn't close at all and instead shows a line of text in irssi that says "Reloaded configuration." It doesn't happen with any other CLI apps. They close just fine with the killclient keybind.

s/respawn/reload/ whatever...
I'd still use /quit, but if it is bugging you, try playing around with your .irssi/config
And if I kill the client, irssi dies along with it (in Urxvt).

Alright, will do. Any light as to why it's not spawning in the tag I tell it to?

No - your config looks OK. Does it consistently open in the wrong tag? Try changing the rule to send it to different tags and see where it pops up - that may provide a clue.

Nope, didn't change anything. Maybe it's to do with the fact that my terminal has no tag defined to it; it just spawns in the current tag that I'm in. I'm not sure how I'd go about doing that though...
