archlinux fresh install networking problem

hey im using a Dell latitude d505 with a fresh install of arch
there is a networking problem
i have configure rc.conf but the network card light doesent light up on either the hub or the laptop

i beleive this is a module error

heres a post of lsmod that i had to type up seeing as im bad at bash...

grep dmesg for eth0 references - there might be errors.

by running

grep dmesg

nothing happens except loading
is this what you are trying to say
ive looked through dmesg and found no eth0 or eth errors

Post the output of ifconfig -a and your rc.conf. Use code tags please.

how do i save the output as raw text to a usb

 
ifconfig -a > if.txt

i dont know how to mount a usb to post the txt to you

ifconfig comes up with two devices

lo

and

wlan

if that helps
and my rc.conf is pretty defualt besides enabling gateway

this definatly means the eth0 nic is not enabled

anyhow ive given up and have resorted to using xubuntu seeing as this all ways just for a media server
