If, say, Yahoo! uses Apache for their servers - is it good enough or do you need more details?

Re: Linux at enterprise: success cases

I think you're better off talking to companies that actually use linux than to the community of a Linux distro that isn't focused on enterprise deployment.

SuSE, Red Hat and Debian are more likely to be deployed in corporate environments than Linux. Arch? I don't think so - not if you're not the head of your own IT department and CEO at the same time.

I'd be closing this, but on second thought... I'll leave it open. Almost smells like homework though.

I concur. OP, could you please specify what you need this information for? The community is not here to do your homework for you, so I'd advise all posters not to respond until the OP has replied to this.

You don't  have to have any doubts on Linux in enteprize enviroment...after all...it's a primary target of linux in general.
If you ask me...Linux is or will be a default answer for enteprizes, datacenters. That's why you have a giant vendors like IBM, Oracle, HP, Intel...all making contributions to Linux. BTRFS is one of the examples.

I think that lot of people just don't get it....Linux is a future standard platform for almost everything. Just like Internet, there will not be one control point like in MS case...no one will own it, but anyone can affect it's content.
