p7zip doesn't work

So, I came across a .7z archive that I wanted to open, and xarchiver didn't open it.  So, then I searched for a utility to open them, and the only one in the AUR and Repos was p7zip.  After I installed it, opening the archive in xarchiver causes it to crash.  Any help?  Here's what pops up in the terminal when I try to open it.

Try 7z from the command line to extract and see if you get those same error messages. If not, then you know its xarchiver, and not its backend utility.

That worked, and frankly, its all I needed.  I didn't know which command to use in the command line in the first place, but now that I know that, I pretty much got what I needed.

It would be nice to see if I could get it to work with xarchiver though.

For future reference, p7zip has 3 files in /usr/bin so you should probably call the app using one of those names:

/usr/bin/7z
/usr/bin/7za
/usr/bin/7zr
