I recently got a microphone and, while it's definitely working (when I speak on it, the sound comes out from the speakers), I can't record anything with it. I've tried Skype and Audacity, both with regular ALSA and AOSS, choosing every input device listed on the options*, to no avail. The programs don't get any sound from the microphone. Can anyone help me?
* These are, on Skype:
Default device (default)
HDA Intel, ALC 888 Analog Default Audio Device (default:CARD=intel)
HDA Intel, ALC 888 Digital IEC958 (S/PDIF) Digital Audio Output (iec958:CARD=intel,DEV=0)
HDA Intel, ALC 888 Analog (hw:0,0)
HDA Intel, ALC 888 Digital (hw:0,1)
HDA Intel, ALC 888 Analog (hw:0,2)
hdmi (unknown)
Thank you.
