can we help me?? the 3d is not so slow but not fast with compiz and flashplayer but glxgears' frames  are so slow it is a bug? an error of configuration?
in really glxgears plays not bad but the report is very slow...

It's because "v-sync to v-blank" is enabled by default, but it's good - no tearing effect in any application.
Anyhow if you don't like it (it makes apps laggy when framerate drop below your screen refresh rate) - you may turn it off by adding

export vblank_mode=0

to /etc/profile

Ps. I suggest you to change topic to something like: "Ati X800Gto2 60 fps issue"

I've got the same problem too. Has this feature been enabled with new Gallium drivers? Because it used to work fine with drivers in [extra].
