[solved] Pimlico-contacts: database gone and gone again

Short story:

Does anyone happen to know where the "contacts" programme from the pimlico project* keeps its database file? I suspect that my problem is related to false permissions on this file, so i might be able to fix it myself, once I know where to look. Contacts uses libebook, if that helps.

Not so short story:

Contacts* lost my contacts some time ago, presumably with the upgrade of evolution-data-server from 2.30.3-1 to 2.32.0-1. No error message, my old entries just don't show up. I can still enter new entries, however these are gone as well after reboot (restarting X or something might be enough, haven't tried that though).

Downgrading to evolution-data-server-2.30.3-1 again and recompiling contacts didn't change this behaviour, nor did it bring back the old entries.

Ideas?

Update: I just installed Evolution (which uses the same contacts database as Contacts) to see if I could access my old contacts from there. And yes, not only can I do that, they also suddenly show up in Contacts again!
