Selecting wrong Sound device

Last night I installed my second monitor. Works great. The problem I am now having is that I am using my videocard's hdmi port, and its using it as the first Audio Device(SB). I can't get any sound to come out of my onboard sound now. (Generic)

I can't really backlist the driver, since I need it for my other card. Any idea's on how to disable the first. I'm not using it for audio.

You just put:

defaults.ctl.card 1
defaults.pcm.card 1
defaults.pcm.device 1

in your ~/.asoundrc file(create it if it isn't there).
