Midori Adobe Flash i686

Using a netbook eeepc 1005P so opted to try a lighter browser. GTK, webkit and adblocker sounded good. YouTube errors, saying that I need to upgrade to Flash 10.

pacman -Q flashplugin

flashplugin 10.1.85.3-1

No updates for Flash via pacman. From the Adobe site I can get a libflashplayer.so file. Closest I found was someone using Midori on Unity Linux but no good.

If you have any solutions, alternative lightweight browsers or reasonable Flash alternatives, please say. Thanks.

Re: Midori Adobe Flash i686

You could try flashplugin-prerelease instead. This works with all browser, incuding midori, here.

To know or not to know ...
... the questions remain forever.

Do you have gnash or similar installed too? what does the plugin page say? $MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH set? Permission?
