[solved] bash completion of /sbin/ only working in tty

hi all,

i'm encountering a strange problem after the last reboot. the bash completion doesn't work if i enter i command from /sbin/ (for example shutdown or hdparm) even if i'm logged in as root via su.
also deamons, started as root, will fail because they are unable to find the needed command under /sbin.

but this problem DOESN'T appear when i leave X and log into a tty as user or root.

i'm happy for every suggestion! :>
