Black screen when booting kernel

Now i´m botting the kernel, but after the msg 'waiting for udev events' screen goes black.

If i boot it with nomodeset argument it boots in maintenance mode successfully, any clue about this problem?

Greets.

Re: Black screen when booting kernel

This is a kernel modeset problem, as you guessed.  There is some information in the wiki:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Beginners'_Guide#OS_System_Start

Here are two possible solutions:

1.  Use a graphical login manager such as Slim.

2.  Or, in the grub menu, add modeset parameters after the kernel line.

Re: Black screen when booting kernel

I´m using yaboot as loader, i´m on powerpc architecture.
Seems that the problem was solving adding these params to the kernel:
'video=radeonfb radeon.agpmode=-1 noacpi'.

Now i must to figure out how to add those parameters into the yaboot configuration.

Greets and thanks.
