2-finger dragging on Macbook Pro

I've gotten into an odd habit on MacOS - when dragging anything, I click the trackpad near the lower-left corner, and then drag with my right finger.  This works fine and is the same gesture I'd use with a more conventional trackpad which has a left button to the lower-left of the pad itself.  The advantage is I'm not pressing the button with the same finger that's doing the dragging, which makes it more precise and less friction.  However in Linux this is treated as a right-click, the same as if I click with two fingers side-by-side, so the only way I can e.g. drag windows around is to click and drag with one finger.  I've been looking at synclient parameters and trying to guess how to get the MacOS behavior... is it just based on distance, if the two fingers are close together it can be detected as a right-click, whereas if they are farther apart, the first finger which made contact is the one that determines the cursor position?  or some other heuristic being used?

Wow that was quick!  Anyway this is a module for 2.6.33, is there one for 2.6.35?

Re: 2-finger dragging on Macbook Pro

Has anyone got this working with 2.6.37? Can't find a patch for it (and just forcing Allan McRaes 2.6.36 to my 2.6.37 system doesn't seem to work).

Re: 2-finger dragging on Macbook Pro

Oh, nevermind. Forgot to change 2.6.36-ARCH to 2.6.37-ARCH in bcm5974.install. So if anyone with my former problem finds this thread:
Download Allans pkgbuild and just change 2.6.36 to "$your-kernel" in the PKGBUILD & bcm5974.install. Works fine!
