[SOLVED] Quake Live on FireFox

Wanting to frag and get fragged, i tried quakelive.com: installation of the extension seemed to work fine and it has downloaded what it needed.
But here's a problem: i cannot enter any game, not even practice or training center, it just bails out on me.
It's Arch x86 with extra/KDE 4.5.3  and extra/firefox on a laptop.
Error from console is below:

Re: [SOLVED] Quake Live on FireFox

It looks like you want to launch 64-bit Quake Live under 32-bit system.

Re: [SOLVED] Quake Live on FireFox

How can it be? I mean, i went to the site, it didn't ask me if system was x86 or x86-64, and i installed the proposed extension...
I'm gonna remove and reinstall it.
EDIT: removed extension, restarted firefox, reinstalled extension, restarted firefox -> same as before sad
how can i get it to install the x86 extension version?
EDIT2: in the plugin dir, i renamed the x64 plugin and created a soft link to the i386 one.

Re: [SOLVED] Quake Live on FireFox

I exactly have the same error than you (except the username and the language).
I'm on Arch x86 with extra/openbox and extra/firefox on a laptop
Personally I only renamed the x86-64 file and now he tries to get the x86. (I think the presence of x86-64 don't change anything, cause it may be there to load the most appropriate file (if you're on x86-64 it loads the x86-64 else it loads the other one.))

Re: [SOLVED] Quake Live on FireFox

it seems due to the ads you get before the game: they don't show up properly with libpng > 1.2.x
I couldn't find the solution for bypassing the ads (it has been deleted from quakelive.com forums) and "LD_PRELOAD='/usr/lib/libpng12.so.0' firefox" doesn't change anything, probably because system has been compiled with libpng 1.4.x
