Wine and WoW: Severe Graphical Corruption

I am running the ATI proprietary drivers (Radeon 4890) and the Wine package from the repos. When I run WoW through wine I experience terrible graphical corruption:

I should note that my Catalyst Conrol center does not launch.
Any help with this?

Did you edit your config.wtf file? if not just add the following to your file:

SET gxAPI "OpenGL"

or try running it with the -opengl flag

wine "/path/to/WoW/Wow.exe" -opengl

Yes, I have tried both of those. I read through the entire arch wiki entry on WoW and followed it exactly, no success. I have also tried directx mode just in case it would prefer that, still corruption.

I previously used Ubuntu and had no issues whatsoever. Not complaining, I just know that at one point it did work with my video card. That was the lucid build so it would have been 10.04 catalyst drivers?
