I'd like to be able to have custom folders in my home directory. I've added a couple icon themes that I believe have the icons: gnome-colors-icon-theme and human-icon-theme. I've run 'xdg-user-dirs-gtk-update' which added a couple folders I didn't have but the icons are still the generic folder icon. Is it possible with pcmanfm to be able to do this?

use lxappearance to change the icon theme or edit .gtkrc-2.0 file to get your icon theme.

Ah, thanks DD, I'm guessing from this that Pcmanfm doesn't have support for it. Have you tried the .gtkrc-2.0 suggestion?

Nope... I think it should give same effect as using lxappearance...

Doctor Drive is correct both do the same thing. pcmanfm does not handle the custom folder icons. You need to use emblem to customise the folder icons with nautilus. The method mentioned will change only the icon theme. I am not sure with other fm.
