I installed eee-control 0.9.6-3 yesterday on my eeePC1000. I'm using dieghen89's kernel-netbook-2.6.36-2-i686.
On starting, EEE Control shows near the clock but is inactive. Hovering indicates that the daemon is not running.
Opening a terminal session as root and running eee-control-daemon successfully starts it and the little control appelet works a charm.
Now - question?
Why isn't the daemon running automatically on installation of this package, and where do I start it from? Putting it in rc.conf the approved method?
Brand new to Arch and still getting the feel for a lot of "low-level" skills I've never used before but thoroughly enjoying the experience.
Thanks for the help.
Edit: I'm going to assume rc.conf is correct. Marked Solved!
