Kde problem intel card

Hi, with my notebook an Acer Extensa 5635Z with an Intel Video card GMA 4500M, under kde with the desktop effects active i have a strange problem, every now and then (sometimes every minute, sometimes every half an hour) parts of my screen pixelates for a brief moment. Sometimes it's just a line across the screen in some weird color, and sometimes it's half the screen. Even if it isn't frequent, it's very annoying. It happens often with the browser Chromium but also with Kopete, for example i send a message in a chat and what've wrote remains in the text string until i make something in the chat's window. Is this a bug linked to the Intel driver for linux? I have this bug only with kde, if i use Gnome or Xfce (now i'm back to it) i haven't any problem. Thanks. Marco

I recall having a similar problem under KDE but with an nvidia card, for me adding an xorg.conf file resolved the problem.
