Hi, I was installing texlive-most as per the arch tex wiki. The packages got downloaded properly but unfortunately the during the install the computer shut down.
Next time i tried to finish the install it found conflicting files in
/usr/share/texmf
/usr/share/texmf-dist
I 'rm -rf'ed them.
Removing the texlive-most and installing it again after that gave errors with missing texmf.cnf
warning: kpathsea: configuration file texmf.cnf not found in these directories: /usr/bin:/usr:/:/usr/bin/share/texmf-local/web2c:/usr/share/texmf-local/web2c://share/texmf-local/web2c:/usr/bin/texmf-local/web2c:/usr/texmf-local/web2c://texmf-local/web2c:/usr/bin/share/texmf/web2c:/usr/share/texmf/web2c://share/texmf/web2c:/usr/bin/texmf/web2c:/usr/texmf/web2c://texmf/web2c.
updmap: config file updmap.cfg not found (ls-R missing?). So I removed the package for texlive-most. Also did
'find / -name 'texmf*''
to remove any other existing cnf files from the previous installs. I also checked for any env variables that might be present.
I removed
/etc/texmf
also.
Where is the texlive install getting those paths from? Should I check the env variables for the root user? I want to clean the system of any previous installs. I searched for texmf.cnf information but I cannot find information specific to Arch.
Edit: I also get the following error:
/usr/bin/mktexfmt: line 395: /texconfig/tcfmgr: No such file or directory fmtutil: config file `fmtutil.cnf' not found.Last edited by ashneo76 (2010-11-15 14:21:41)
