I've just done a new install and did it much more minimalistic this time. Everything so far is good, but I've discovered that Hibernate and Suspend no longer show up in the Logout dialog. I've tried a couple things (added pm-utils and gnome-power-manager) with no luck. Anyone have an idea why they are not being shown? Could this be a hal thing? It's the only one I can think of . Here are the groups I belong in:
id todd
uid=1050(todd) gid=1050(todd) groups=1050(todd),10(wheel),91(video),92(audio),93(optical),95(storage),98(power),100(users)

Ahha, turns out that the current version of LXDE uses HAL to do this.
