Hello,
I use archlinux on both of my computers (one with a 4-cores Phenom and a netbook).
I think i do not need to explain the difference of power between them
.
But since my netbook have an N270, i wish to compile package with optimized makepkg flags.
Everything is fine if I build each package manually with pacman -Sb <pkg> for the current computer, but i can't get how to compile packages for another computer, exporting pkg.tar.gz to a particular folder without installing them.
I have tried pacbuilder, but it is currently broken, I don't figure how to do it with powerpill/bauerbill ... I'm kind of trapped ![]()
Do you have any suggestions ?
Thanks you
Eric

Have you tried
--cache-built
Move built packages to the cache. If PKGDEST is set in makepkg.conf, it will take precedence over this
option.with bauerbill?

Hmm, i tried it, but bauerbill keep calling pacman for installing after compilation. It's the main problem : i can't find any way to just compile package when updated, create the package and do not install them, just keep the package made, but thanks for the help karol ![]()

Ah, so the 'don't install' part is important ;P
You say that pacbuilder is currently broken - what do you mean? Did you try to compile it from AUR or did you get it from the unarch repo?

It seems to be working ... Surely a chair-keyboard interface problem. I try another time with pacbuild, and i respond here ![]()
