Rhythmbox error on startup

Rhythmbox starts up really slow for me. When I run it from the command line, I get this:

(rhythmbox:1804): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GstObject)

(rhythmbox:1804): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Unable to start mDNS browsing: MDNS service is not running

(rhythmbox:1804): libdmapsharing-WARNING **: Unable to initialize mDNS: Daemon not running

(rhythmbox:1804): libdmapsharing-WARNING **: Unable to notify network of media sharing: The avahi MDNS service is not running

(rhythmbox:1804): libdmapsharing-WARNING **: Unable to start Remote lookup: MDNS service is not running

(rhythmbox:1804): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Unable to grab media player keys: Could not get owner of name 'org.gnome.SettingsDaemon': no such name

So, how do I fix this? I'm using xfce. Thanks.

EDIT My bad. I somehow missed the part of the rhythmbox wiki page that said to add the avahi-daemon to /etc/rc.conf
I still get these errors:

(rhythmbox:2048): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GstObject)

(rhythmbox:2048): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Unable to grab media player keys: Could not get owner of name 'org.gnome.SettingsDaemon': no such name

So, how do I fix those errors? Since I added avahi-daemon as a daemon, xfce starts much slower. It takes from 5-10 more seconds than usual to fully load. Why is that? Thanks.

I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

Re: Rhythmbox error on startup

I fixed this problem with this:

1. Open Rhythmbox
2. Select from menu: Edit -> Plugins
3. Disable "DAPP Music Sharing" plugin
