DisplaySize in xorg not working (ATI catalyst drivers)

In xorg.conf I have "DIsplaySize 364 273". But when I start X xdpyinfo reports the dimensions as "338x253 millimeters" (which happens to be 96x96dpi @ 1280x960).

The only relevant line I can find in Xorg.0.log is:

[  1230.917] (II) fglrx(0): Setting screen physical size to 338 x 253
