KDE 4.5.3 freezes after login
I recently upgraded to 4.5.3 and KDE freezes after login during the splash screen (around the desktop icon). The keyboard's Caps and Scroll lock LED were blinking and the desktop was not responsive. I had to reset the computer.
I took a look around the forums and none of the solutions seems to be helping out.
My PC is pretty old:
Intel P4, Intel 915GL
