At least, libgtksourceviewmm2 isn't found by pacman. I'm trying to install it for use by another app. Pacman -S gives me only this typical error, repeated for several servers none of which can deliver the package:
error: failed retrieving file 'libgtksourceviewmm2-2.10.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz' from lug.mtu.edu : File unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access)
Whazzup with this package, and how to get it installed in a way pacman is happy with for installing the other app?

You're looking for the old version. Always '-Syu' first before installing new software.

Yup, that did it. Had to click on links over in that pale blue box to the right for the first time in my life! Shows how reliable Arch's packaging system has been. So rarely do I need to take special steps!
The main app depending on libgtksourceviewmm2 is now happily compiling...

Well, you should still know how to do them, in the rare case they're required. Please mark [solved] ![]()
